I would love to know if there are any "stray" Martins in the Stray Books index. I have audited all available microfilm looking for my "Alvis Martin". A written family Memoirs says he "was a fine man of about 200 pounds" and die of getting overheated in his fields. The date would have been abt 1871 the way I figure the memoirs. Could be a year either way. I have come to the conclusion that Alvis may not have been his first name, but haven't even found a Martin who died around that time and came for Tennesee or less likely, Kentucky. If someone could check the inedex for me I would be ever so thankful.
