The William Ator I'm looking for was born 1809 (census) and died 1861 (other genealogists). The last census he was on was 1860 and he was living in Box, Cedar, Missouri. Some people have his death place as Kentucky but that doesn't much sense. Although it just occured to me he might have been fighting in the civil war. Mary Ator b. 1814/1815 d. after 1880 (she was on 1880 census in Box, Cedar, Missouri)
