He married Margaret A. GOSS in 1841 in Cedar Springs. His parents were Gasper 'Casper' ESLINGER b: 1770 in Iredell Co., North Carolina Colony, who died in 1833 in Harrison Co., Indiana. Gasper married Sarah 'Sally' DITTEMORE 20 Jun 1808 in Greene Co., TN, who was born 05 May 1791 in Shenandoah Co., VA and died 31 Dec 1826 in Owen Co., IN. She was his second wife and I show nine children for them; he remarried immediately after her death to Francis Martin AUSTIN with whom he had four children before his death in 1833. I show his first wife as Elizabeth STANDEFORD b: c.1775, d: c.1807 but have no other data on her. I have a slight variation in three children's names, showing Martha J., William T. and America Ann. As I said some time ago I have Thomas' ancestral line back to Hans ESSLINGER b: c.1505 in Aufhausen, Heidenheim, Wurttemberg, Germany, which I visited a couple of years ago.
