Dear List: This is the first time I have ever heard about the Cedar County Genealogy Book. It is a history of the county or is it one of those books where everyone writes about his/her surname and history of the family? My maternal grandmother was born in Cedar County, Missouri. Lillie Mae Allen was the daughter of Harvey Elmer Allen and Lucy Della Gunier. Lillie was born in 1904 and had several brothers and sisters. My great-grandmother's parents and grandparents are also buried there. The Guniers came to Missouri from Michigan. Their ancestors were early settlers in Canada.
