Worthington, born in North Carolina March 2, 1829, died Cedar County April 7, 1901. He and his wife Nancy Harmon Worthington arrived in Cedar Conty sometime between 1850, when they showed up on a census in Greene, Tennessee, and 1870, when they appear on a Cedar County census. The couple is buried in Herriman Chapel Cemetery (twp 36). Robert was said to be a Methodist minister. I am his great great grandson, and am curious to know of this, and his civil war activities. Robert Worthington is listed as having served in the 13th Regiment, Tennessee Cavalry (Gore's) of the CSA. I don't know if this is accurate, although I can find no other Robert Worthington in Tennessee at that time who was of military age. Thanks..... Rogers Worthington, pianotwo@aol.com
