I am searching for a will or probate on William Eldred who died in Cedar County in 1879. The Missouri Archives is unable to locate anything in their files and Cedar County is unwilling to help. I know that William owned land there and that he died in 1879. His wife died in 1905 and it is at that time that we have found a contract dated 1906 in which this land was left to his 4 children. Does anyone have access to wills and probates? I will be wanting to purchase copies if I can ever find the records. I am thinking that maybe the will wasn't probated until after the death of William's wife in 1905. Any suggestions? Cindy
