I was given a name of a person that worked at the courthouse and told that she was good at looking at things as she had the time. I contacted her and told her that I was referred to her and that I was in need of a will or probate. I asked if she could see if there was one on record and that I would be purchasing copies if there were. About a month later I received a letter that said they do not do lookups and was furnished with the names of 2 researchers who were for hire. Whenever I am in need of information or a lookup, the first place I go is to the Missouri State Archives. They are the best and I have bragged on them before. In this case they were unable to help me and they also referred me to the courthouse. Having requested information before from the courthouse with the same response, I didn't feel it would do any good to do so again. That is when I was told to ask for a certain person. The response was the same. As far as LDS goes. One of you sent some information as to the records they have. How does one go about viewing these records, or will they do the lookup for you? I do have to make this comment in favor of the courthouse. They have on 2 occasions furnished me with the copy of a marriage record in which I already had the information on. Cindy
