Marshall GIPSON farmed near Stockton. I believe but have not confirmed that he was the son of Ulysses GIPSON and Nancy Clemons MOORE. I also think this may be the Ulysses GIPSON buried in Rookins Cemetery, St. Clair CO, with the inscription "Ulysses Gipson, born 3 June 1815, died 24 December 1859" (there are also many Moores in this cemetery, two with the first name Rookins, and Marshall Gipson gave the middle name ROOKINS to one of his sons). Also, I have a Ulysses GIPSON purchasing federal land in Cedar CO in both 1849 and 1859. Can anyone tie this together for me? Does anyone have something more definite? I'd welcome any additional information on this family. Thanks. Nora Tocus PS My connection is that Martha Elizabeth "Johnnie" Gipson who m Carl Cavan was my paternal grandmother.
