    1. [MOCEDAR] What County was Cedar before 1845?
    2. Hello: I note from the Cedar County GenWeb Page that Cedar County was formed in Feb. 1845, but it doesn't state what county it was prior to that date. Can anyone tell me what Cedar County was known as before 1845? Thank you. Deborah Pirie

    3. It was Polk in 1835, then Dade in 1841 and then Cedar in 1845. 3. >Can anyone tell me what Cedar County was known as before 1845? My "Handy Book" says Cedar County was formed from the Southern part of St. Clair County and the Northern part of Dade Co. Seems that I've heard rumors that present day Cedar may include a bit of Polk County on the east.
