Okay, here is the answer I received from the archives. I told Gerald I would pass along his reply. "It has been a busy couple of days trying to keep up with the death certificate database. Because of the number of people trying to search the database we have had to make modifications to the performance of the simple search engine. The search engine is now only searching exact matches of names. My first suggestion is to enter in less information. Just try last name or last name and county. My second suggestion would be to try the advanced search found at http://www.sos.mo.gov/archives/resources/deathcertificates/advanced.asp This search engine provides a means to search part of a name so you may be able to find the names that are possibly misspelled. Finally, as with any project, there are going to be some errors. We will continue to edit the database and will continue to add in records that were not found in the original index." So, just keep on trying. Kay
Hi List, I received a marriage certificate for Mary Hudson and Wm. Walton married November 26, 1871 (Cedar County) by error. If this is in someone's family on the list, please e-mail me and I will be glad to mail this to you. This is not my Hudson family. Ginette
Another marriage on the copy of the certificate page is Wm. G. Barnes & Julia A. Owens married November 19, 1871. If this is someone's family let me know and I will mail a copy to you. Ginette
