I am researching the Stiner/Steiner family in Cedar County. My ggrandfather Jacob Stiner filed an application for Civil War pension in Stockton showing residence as Cane Hill. One of his witnesses was a neighbor W.W. Pyle. I can only assume that your Pyles married Jacobs granddaughters. I can place two of his sons, Lloyd Sharpless Steiner married Mary Elizabeth Brutzman in Cedar Co abt 1882 and Norman A. Steiner married Columbia Redford in Cedar Co. in 1884. They would seem likely candidates to be the parents of the Steiner sisters that married Pyles. I will keep digging, and let me know what you come up with. Another neighbor was a Mr. Fanning.
