Hi Nancy, I would love to share information with you. I just checked my records and did not have Mary Matilda's husband and of course the rest of that family line. I am slowly becoming the individual that is keeping all of the family history and genealogy and I have found that the person that was taking care of it before tended to stop after a woman of the Hopkins family married. I am one who likes to have as much information as I can. I would be happy to share any other information with you. All of our records are still on paper. I recently purchased a computer program so that I can generate Gedcom files and make it easier for some to share. This program also allows me to include photos of individuals and I am just beginning to put names with the photos. In fact, Last night I was able to finally read some writing on the back of a photo that is of Anjeline Simrell who was one of Thomas' wives. If I remember correctly, this year will be the 65th year of the Hopkins-Simrell family reunion. Next year we will have a printout of the entire family line...at least what I have in my records. As far as we can tell the Hopkins family goes back to James Hopkins who died in Orange Co., North Carolina in 1758 or 59 but we have not been able to find any information on this or where he came from. The family has always stated the he came from Wales. Also, we are trying to document other children of James. Currently we only know of a William Hopkins and it is believed that there are others with names of Andrew, James and John. I have lots of information to share it will take a little bit as it is all on paper and not in a more accessible format.
