This cannot be true as I found him on the 1870 census in Monticello, Piatt Co., IL. However, he was in Dallas county by 23 Oct 1871 when his daughter, Margaret Anna KESNER was born. By 1874 Simeon went to Bourbon Co., KS where he lived until about 1883. In 1884 he was in Jerico, Cedar Co., MO where he died in 1888. I am fairly sure there will only be sparse records on KESNER, but there may be records on the related families CROSS, COFFMAN, COFFELT & NASALROAD and was hoping someone on the list may recognize the related names.
