    2. Correction to the previous messages. Martha Jane ENGLISH married John LeFORS in March 1837. Letitia CAMPBELL ENGLISH died about 1847 in Cedar Co. and is probably buried in that county. I would like to know-- Where? Her parents were Alexander and Amy EATON CAMPBELL of TN. Thomas ENGLISH married Mahala TIPPIT YOKUM in June 1848. They are listed on the 1850 Census of Cedar Co. Sometime after that they sold the land in Cedar Co. and moved to Claiborne Parish, LA. Thomas died in 1855 and is buried in Claiborne Parish. There is some evidence to indicate he may have been buried in the Lisbon Cemetery. Mahala is in Hopkins County, TX for the 1870 Census and in Dec. 1870 when her grandson, Thomas Henry LeFORS visited with her.

    3. I'm wondering if by chance these ENGLISH came from the middle MO area? Like Cooper or Moniteau Counties in MO? Could they by chance also tie into VIVION/BUSH/etc.? Have you ever seen this name spelled INGLISH? 3. I am not sure about this English family;however, my husband's family are related to the Inglish in Moniteau County as well as the Vivions. His grandmother was Jennie Pettigrew, daughter of James and Harriet Duncan Pettigrew. James is the son of Matthew and Cynthia Vivion Pettigrew. Would love to share information.
