Hi listers... New to Cedar County list, but not to Rootsweb or surrounding area. Mariah (nee WINTON) HILL was born December 24, 1812 in Roane County, TN. She married Dr. John W. HILL January 26, 1833 in Roane County, TN. Dr. HILL was born abt. 1806 in TN. Of this relationship I have five children. Mariah WINTON-HILL is the daughter of William WINTON and sister to my 2nd great-grandfather Rev. George Mitchell WINTON. MY main WINTON lines came from Roane County, TN and moved to southern Polk and northern Greene Counties. However, it is known that descendants of William WINTON's brother's lines moved to Cedar and Greene Counties as well. Anyhoo.... Mariah HILL died November 29, 1858 in Cedar County, MO. I don't have any dates of death on Dr. HILL, however I do find him in the 1860 Cedar County, Missouri Census. If someone is kind enough and has the Cedar County Cemetery lists handy, would you please do a look-up for me? Would someone please kindly look these two people up and see if they are buried in Cedar County? If so, where? If by chance you are on this list and connect to the WINTON/HILL lines and we haven't met I will be happy to share any information I have. Thank you for your help and generosity in my research. Dear Mike: Can you tell me about the "Kelly, or Kelley farm" in Cedar County, MO? Unfortunately not. As many KELL(E)Y's abound in both Polk and Cedar Counties and I don't connect to any of them. My KELLY line doesn't even come close to MO. LOL! Actually my KELLY line came from AL and migrated to TX. My parents were college sweethearts. Sorry, wish I could help.
