I'd be interested in your answers about William W. Davis in Cedar County. I don't see a William in my Davises, but I have a Daniel East Davis moving to Cedar County after the Civil War. Wife Martha Moore. I have about six or seven of their children, one of which was my husband's great grandmother. Two children married O'Conners, one married a Stout, one married a Bridges.
