Is there anything those of us who "live out of area" can do? We visited before the tornado and I took many pictures - my gggrandfather, Thomas P. Moore (1843-1916), spent a short time occupying one of the cells in early 1890s. Luckily he was acquitted from his accused crime but it made the story especially real to me to actually see the jail. I even took photo's of some of the artifacts in the museum and one of the cells. Please let us know if there's something we can do. After the tornado, there is not much left and now they are going to tear down.... http://www.zwire.com/site/news.cfm?newsid=17339490&BRD=1815&PAG=461&dept_id= 516621&rfi=6 I understand funds are limited but so are historical buildings in Stockton, this one, the Community Building and I consider the courthouse one, are the only three left.
