Surnames: MURCDOCK, HUPP, ANDERSON Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/YMB.2ACI/1159 Message Board Post: I am seeking obituaries for the following man and wife who are buried in the Anna Edna Cemetery. Your help is very appreciated. Andrew Murdock, June 21, 1838 - March 29, 1926 Theodosia or Theodoria Murdock, April 10, 1863 - November 11, 1935 Theodosia' s maiden name was Hupp, daughter of Henry Hupp and Margarett Anderson of Ohio. She has previously been married to Andrew's younger brother Albert Murdock. Family tradition says that she may have had a child by Albert, Anna, or this might have been a child by Andrew. Andrew and Theodosia lived in Jerico Springs. In 1930, when the census was taken, Theodosia, then a widow, was living on Golden Street. At this time, two grandaughters were with her, Flora M. and Leona M. I do not know there last names. Any further information on Andrew, Thoedosia, Anna and these grandaughters would be appreciated.

    1. Obit and/or info on Mable Lorene Fox Willett
    2. Dear Folks; New to the list. Most all my folks are in Dade County, but I have some folks in Cedar County as well. I am trying to track down the obituary and whatever information I can get on Mable Lorene Fox Willett (29 Dec 1911-30 Nov 1992). Here's my story. I am Robert Wilson, a double cousin to Mable's through both the Fox and Wilson families. I only met her a couple times, and it has been some 25-30 years ago. In her home in Stockton, she had a picture of a bearded man, in an old oval fram, and the print and glass were both convex. She wasn't sure, but thought the picture was of Anderson Fox, her Great Grandfather, and my 2nd Great Grandfather, and now, I am almost certain that, indeed, it was. I would truly love to get a copy or a photo of that picture, if the picture could be found. Any help in tracking down information toward that end would be truly appreciated. Many thanks, Robert Wilson, Kansas City, KS

    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Martin Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/YMB.2ACI/1155 Message Board Post: I am trying to find an Alvis Martin, who is supposed to have died in Cedar county around 1870 "of getting overheated in his fields". The other known facts are that he went to California during the gold rush and that he had a family. Also according to a nephew "he was a fine figure of a man, around 200 pounds".. I am beginning to think Alvis was not his first name. He came from Tennessee to Missouri and was probably born between 1820 and 1825. Does this resonate with anyone?
