Thanks so much for your reply. I can't wait to see what all is there. I assume that maybe genealogical libraries will have access to them, too? A year or two ago, I was in the Cedar County courthouse and was sent to the basement to see what other records were stored down there, but not yet on microfilm. There was someone there who was in the process of microfilming some of these old records. Does anyone know how that project is progressing and what other records are available on microfilm by now? I did look through some of the old record books that day and there was a lot of interesting information hidden in them! Thanks. Diane Jones
Hello: Regarding Catherine Stockton and John Miller, they were married on 25 January 1872 in Cedar County. Deb Pirie
Listmembers, I am searching for a picture of the El Dorado School house. It was in Madison Twp. on the Broyles place. If any one has one I would love a copy. I attended first grade there and my oldest sister was my teacher. I can't believe that I didn't go take a photo before the building was destroyed. -- Kay
Would you mind checking the Miller marriages in Cedar County? I am looking for a Catherine or Katherine Smith who was Mrs. Stockton at the time and a Mr. Miller. First name unknown. The marriage would have been after May, 1867, since that was when Catherine divorced Stockton. Hello: Re Miller marriages in Cedar County. I have copied down all of the marriage records for the Miller surname from 1845-1882 and no David C. Miller appears in the time frame you asked about. Only one David Miller appears and that was a marriage to Caroline McMillen in Sept. 1880. Please keep in mind that does not necessarily mean that the marriage did not take place in Cedar County. I have several family members that were married in Cedar County, but no marriage record exists for them. Deb Pirie

Hi, If your Kennedys were from Cedar Co Mo then they are probably related to me. My grandmother was Lucy Kennedy from there and her father had lots of brothers around the area. When I get back to my home computer, I'll look up your Charles.
