Author: DonnaScofield97 Surnames: Hubbard Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.missouri.counties.cedar/1822/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I bought Goodspeed's History of Cedar County, but couldn't find the info I need. In the early years (1850-1880) were there any communities near what later became Cedar Springs (Balm) that would have had general store, doctor, etc.? Would Jerico Springs have been a community then, even though it wasn't incorporated until the early 1880s? Ditto El Dorado Springs? My ancestor, Henry Hubbard, lived in Cedar County, Cedar Township. His descendants lived in Cedar Springs. I assume the location of the two places is the same. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. 3. Hello Rita, The cemetery is not complete yet! Depends on Sherry's time and leg work but we are getting a lot accomplished. We are still adding photos almost daily. Stay tuned. I hope you can find a volunteer for the obits, I can't do it for you, then I would have to do it for everyone, and I can't spend that much more time on genealogy. Sorry about that but I can just do so much. The Cedar Co. Historical Society might help, they charge $10.00 up front and $5.00 per hour. That is a bargain, I asked for some records in TN last week and was charged, $25.00 per copy. Kay Wednesday, June 27, 2007, 12:48:47 PM, you wrote: RF> Thanks Kay! I know, and already have pictures of graves, that my gr-grandparents are buried there, but they are not listed. The surname is MOORE, Joseph and Lucy. Also a son is buried there (1948), Richard R. 1. [MOCEDAR] S.P. Williams 1873-1880
    2. Does anyone have any information on Solomon Perry Williams and his wife, Lucy Angeline (Reynolds) Williams. They came from Pope Co., IL, where they were married (1856) and had been living in Chautauqua Co., KS since about 1870, where Jennie Ann, Millie Ann and Fanny Ann were born. They had three others that had been born in IL: Georgia Ann (1858), Elizabeth Ann (1865), and Sally Ann (1867). Apparently, S.P. goes to MO and KS to buy land because he buys land in MO in 1873, while living in KS. He also fought in the Civil War from IL. His father was William Williams, who died in IL in 1858. He may have had a brother or uncle by the name of Bryce Williams. Cathye
