There is a Bear Creek (town or community, not much of a town anymore) about 15 miles east of Stockton on 32 highway. There is also a creek by that name in eastern Cedar county near this community. Could you please tell me where Bear Creek is/was. (c. 1880's?) Thanks, Pat Darby Sanchez
These posts caught my eye because we also have a Bear Creek here in Stockton -- California that is. My great-grandfather Wm. Henry Crawford was born in Stockton, MO, and died in Stockton, CA. ----- Original Message ----- From: James and Kathy Bridges To: [email protected] Sent: Tuesday, May 08, 2001 9:57 AM Subject: Re: [MOCEDAR] Bear Creek There is a Bear Creek (town or community, not much of a town anymore) about 15 miles east of Stockton on 32 highway. Looking for information on the Dotson, Bolen, Blair and Sharp families who lived in Cedar and Polk Counties in MO in the late 1800's. Dianne Erwin [email protected]
Sometime back a list subscriber put a message regarding these surname connections. Don't remember who it was, nor did I keep the inquiry. Please contact me, Thanks Pat Darby Sanchez at [email protected]
Sorry this thing has been a real bothersome one. Send the headers to me and I will try to get this stopped. Do not open any attachments. Here are some of the names that the W32/[email protected] virus/trojan uses: Card.pif docs.scr fun.pif hamster.ZIP.scr Humor.TXT.pif images.pif New_Napster_Site.DOC.scr news_doc.scr Me_nude.AVI.pif Pics.ZIP.scr README.TXT.pif s3msong.MP3.pif searchURL.scr SETUP.pif Sorry_about_yesterday.DOC.pif YOU_are_FAT!.TXT.pif I received several attachments that say "look at the attachment" another member received one that says, ""Me_nude" Let me say this one is easy and if you do get one like this, let me assure you it is not a picture of me nude! And if it was you should still delete it, <VBG> We all have to protect ourselves and be alert, check ALL of your email before you open your messages, get the sender's addy then delete anything with an attachment, write to me let me know, if you don't then I don't know who is getting hit and from where. Those who are infected will have to be unsubscribed until they get rid of the virus on their system. Then we will be happy to add them back to the list, this W32/[email protected] virus/trojan if not their fault, they are victims. We don't want to lose anyone who wants to be on this list but, we do need to get this stopped. The most important thing I think I can do is to inform the list, remind everyone that the poor infected person was a victim, ENCOURAGE YOU to run a virus scan using an up-to-date program, and reassure you of the safety of the way RootsWeb works. If you are infected go to this URL and maybe it will help you get rid of this darn thing: http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/w32.badtran [email protected] That should be on one line. Donna (and everyone else on this list), This seems to be happening on several of the lists that I'm on and I'm getting SICK of these things. So far (knock on wood) I haven't received on from MOCEDAR-L, but have from several people on two other lists. Think I'll be forced to unsub from them all! They are coming in with all different names, but the common thread seems to be the ".PIF" file extension some of those are preceded by ".doc" or ".txt" although a "New_Napster_Site.scr". Bottom line: Don't open ANYTHING! Yes: Who DO we report this too?????? I was sent a file to download this morning, but it didn't look right. I ran my virus scan and sure enough it was a bad virus. Here is a link you can check to read about it. It pays to run your virus scan often. I got this virus sent to me by a Hawkins. http://www.europe.f-secure.com/v-descs/badtrans.shtml Donna

I am interested in purchasing a copy of this book ONLY if it has some of my families mentioned. They are: Darby, Dunnegan, Edgington, Gilmore, Gutridge, Kennedy, Lindley and Williams. I'm sure the book is great, but a little expensive for my budget. And please, if you respond, do it directly to my email address and that way nobody can gripe about email that is useless to them: [email protected] Thank you, Pat Darby Sanchez
If anyone has a CD for 1910 Census Record for Vernon Co. and could do a lookup for me I would really be grateful. I'm looking for Harriet Hawkins living around Deerfield area or she might have moved to Cedar Co. in Box Township. Also Arthur Wardin, Charles Goss and Lee Alexander, her son-in-law's. We don't have the 1910 census here. Thank you, Donna
