    3. Juanita, there is not any Barnes info there, I just had not got it changed quick enough. I try to catch them so they don't make it to the archives and sometimes I fail. Reminder to all: Add only the surnames that your query is about, all other will be deleted. Posted on: Cedar Co., Mo Query Forum Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Mo/Cedar/10934 Surname: MOORE, HARPER, TURPIN, BARNES, HACKLEMAN ------------------------- Could someone give me the name and address/email address/phone number for the caretaker of Herriman Chapel Cemetery. I'm interested in placing a grave marker there for my gggrandfather, Thomas P. MOORE died April 1916. He is not listed on the cemetery list so we have to assume he's in an unmarked grave - his obituary in the El Dorado Sun states his funeral service was conducted at the Herriman chapel and interment was made in Herriman Cemetery. I would be greatly interested in anyone that might have earlier records of this cemetery than what is printed in the Cedar County Cemetery book. OR if anyone has church records from the Herriman Chapel from that era. Thanks! Cindy

After we became tired we all lay down on the grass and began to discuss the things we wished for. Erm [Ermin Marr, b.December 4, 1873] was then big enough that he was permitted to ride horseback to Virgil City to get the mail..." 3. Yes, you can easily separate your family lines (without changing anything in your family file) by using the Outline Descendant Chart, then exporting the individuals in the chart. If you want details on how to do it, send me a private e-mail. Correction, go to the name of the first person you want in the family group, then go to "View", select "Outline Descendant Tree" then go to "File" and then select "Copy/export individuals in Outline Descendant Tree". 3. This was in Tues, 8 May, Springfield MO News Leader, p. 5B: Discovery of cemetery halts roadwork--Associated Press-Kansas City-- Construction of a new highway in south Kansas City has been halted by the discovery of a small cemetery dating back to the Civil War era. State officials are anxious to find any descendants of the HOLLOWAY family who are buried in the cemetery. If the heirs can't be found, the state will have to get court permission to move the nine graves in the plot, in order to finish a new Missouri 150. Construction workers recently unearthed a marble headstone, dating from 1858, while moving a large section of water pipe. Archaeologists later found another headstone and evidence of seven other graves. The site has not been disturbed further. -------- Please pass this on to other lists.

    3. Hi Folks, I am adding this message with permission from Gloria. I have written letters to the newspaper and wanted to give you all the chance to read and then you decide for yourselves if you want to write to try and keep the genie column in the newspaper. Kay ~~~~~ Gloria Bogart Carter 733 South Farm Road 89 Springfield MO 65802 417-869-7060 [email protected] Dear Genealogy friends. Since April 1987 I have written a free GENEALOGY query column for the Springfiield News-Leader. They have not printed the Genealogy column in the Sunday News-Leader the last three weeks, 22 April 2001, 29 April 2001 and 6 May 2001. They have never contacted me. I called after the first time we were left out, they told me they were thinking about taking it out of the paper and maybe putting it on the web site www.OzarksNow.com but it has not been on there either. I told her that many of my readers do not use computers and have no intentions of having one. I told her I would appreciate it if they would continue the Genealogy column in the News-Leader newspaper. I feel very strongly about this issue. I know it helps a lot of people make contact with other relation. I have many queries on hand, people do use this column. I do not believe the News-Leader people realize how many people are into Genealogy research. If you would like to see the Genealogy column in the News-Leader, Please let them know. I would appreciate if you would call or send them an e-mail call Jan Peterson, Features Editor (417) 836-1194 [email protected] and/or Kate Wood, to whom I turn in my queries, [email protected] or 836-1256 or go to their web site www.OzarksNow.com under "Costumer Service" and click on "contact us" click on "Jan Peterson Features Editor" (417) 836-1194 [email protected] Sincerely, Gloria Bogart Carter, 733 South Farm Road 89, Springfield MO 65802 [email protected], 417-869-7060
