Michael, Does your Mary Ellen Bass have a brother named Wiliam Lundy Bass, who later resided in Union Co Ark and KCMO? Thanks, Sandi
Looking for the family/parents of Patsy KENNEDY who married John S. WOODY in Cedar County on 29 April 1889. Thanks, Pat Darby Sanchez
Hi listers... New to Cedar County list, but not to Rootsweb or surrounding area. Mariah (nee WINTON) HILL was born December 24, 1812 in Roane County, TN. She married Dr. John W. HILL January 26, 1833 in Roane County, TN. Dr. HILL was born abt. 1806 in TN. Of this relationship I have five children. Mariah WINTON-HILL is the daughter of William WINTON and sister to my 2nd great-grandfather Rev. George Mitchell WINTON. MY main WINTON lines came from Roane County, TN and moved to southern Polk and northern Greene Counties. However, it is known that descendants of William WINTON's brother's lines moved to Cedar and Greene Counties as well. Anyhoo.... Mariah HILL died November 29, 1858 in Cedar County, MO. I don't have any dates of death on Dr. HILL, however I do find him in the 1860 Cedar County, Missouri Census. If someone is kind enough and has the Cedar County Cemetery lists handy, would you please do a look-up for me? Would someone please kindly look these two people up and see if they are buried in Cedar County? If so, where? If by chance you are on this list and connect to the WINTON/HILL lines and we haven't met I will be happy to share any information I have. Thank you for your help and generosity in my research. Dan and Michael, I hope you do not mind my butting in, but I would also be interested in the information and pictures. Michael, I would be happy to add you to our family reunions list so you might be able to attend them in the future. (We just had one for this year). We also have a few pictures on the Marshall side if you would like copies. Please send me your name and address through private email. Hi Michael, Just wanted to jump in and say HI. I grew up in the same town as your mother, and remember Bill, Adrain, & Toleta well. Mary Ellen, Pat and Pam, etc. And even remember Adrain and Toleta driving their "old" cars in the parade. I hope you find lots of information, the people on this list are very friendly and helpful. Michael, There hasn't been a lot of activity on the list lately, but then again, all of the lists I am on are not very busy this summer. It's good to have someone new on! The Marshall's are my folks and I have pretty much all of them in my tree. I'll send you some info on them direct to your e-mail address. I would like to see what you have on the Hopkins. Any photos? HI Dan. Thanks for the welcome. The only Marshall's that I have reference to are listed below. I have no idea if they lived in those areas. Benjamin A. Marshall Sr. who was married to Nancy ? They are the parents of Susan B. Marshall b. Nov 26, 1834. She was the 2nd wife of Samuel S. Hopkins b. Dec 4, 1834, d. Mar 22, 1865 in Cedar Co. Benjamin A. Marshall Jr.. He married Orlena A Hopkins on Apr 27, 1865. She was born on Dec 25, 1846 and Died in 1917. Some recent information may have these two Benjamin's as Father and Son. An the Nancy who married Benjamin Sr may be Nancy Nance. Benjamin Jr. was born on Mar 3 or 5, 1832, d. in 1905 and is buried in Waggoner Cemetery. Not sure how correct this is and is the only information that I have found on them at this time. If they are the Marshall's that you speak of I would like to get more information. I will be happy to supply any information on my Hopkins line for I have very accurate records and I attend the Hopkins-Simrell Reunion every year. Thanks so much Michael on 7/8/2001 6:35 PM, Dan Honeycutt at [email protected] wrote: > Nice to have you on the list Michael. Hi everyone, I just joined the list recently and thought I would send out a hello and little info on myself and my family. I must first tell you that I am very new to the Genealogy scene but I look forward to the fun and frustration that I have oft heard. I am of the Clark family that still survives today in Stockton, Missouri. Being that Stockton is in Cedar County I thought that this was a good place to start. My family lines are Clark, Bryson, Bass, Hopkins and Gilliland. The Bass and Hopkins lines are fairly well documented but the Clark and Bryson line have been a bit more difficult. My line of Clarks are the ones who owned the Grocery on the Square, the Phillips 66 in Stockton for many years. My Uncle Bill Clark moved the grocery to Humansville in the 70's. Also Adrain Clark was had never missed a Walnut Festival parade until the year that he became ill. He had always driven one of his restored Motor Cars in that parade. Let me provide a little on the Clark and Bryson lines and if anyone funs into any information it would be greatly appreciated. Michael Clark Gilliland, b. July 26,1964 - This is me Nancy Marie Clark, b. November 9, 1941 - My mother Adrain William Clark, b May 20, 1907 - d. Aug 19, 1980 - G Toleta Margaret Bryson, b March 23, 1911 - d. May 12, 1985 - G Hairse Madison Clark, b May 8, 1884 - d. April 27, 1932 - GG Mary Ellen Bass, b Sep 23, 1887 - d. July 8, 1978 - GG This is where I have not been able to get past. Ab Clark - ? - GGG Josie - ? GGG I have not been able to find any information on the parents of Hairse Madison Clark. He was born in Cedar County, near Stockton and died in Pittsburg, Kansas at Mt. Carmel Hospital. If someone may have information or do a lookup for Birth to see if I can make sure of the correct names of his parents who I believe are Ab Clark and Josie but can not say that with confidence. I appreciate any information that anyone might have and I look forward to the MOCEDAR list. Thanks, Michael
Hi Dan: Phillip was born in Tenn also, around 1814. I believe his parents were Josiah Earp & Martha Patsy Davidson. I have been searching for information on P.H. & his sons James & Asa for some time. Both James & Asa were murdered. Any information you run across will be most helpful. Karen
Karen, Do you have the birth/death dates for Phillip Earp and where he was born/died? I have a note that Nancy was born in Tennessee somewhere. Thanks, Dan [email protected] wrote: > Pat: > I am so sorry. I am sure you are right I know there are lots of Kennedys. > Yes I am looking for the marriage of P.H. Pat: I am so sorry. I am sure you are right I know there are lots of Kennedys. Yes I am looking for the marriage of P.H. (Phillip) Earp and Nancy M. Kennedy, and their sons Asa, James, and Josiah. I really appreciate everyone who gives of their time. Thanks again, Karen
Karen There are too many Kennedys and Earps in Cedar Co. Are you looking for Kennedy/Earp marriages, or all of both? Pat Darby Sanchez.
