I know that my grandfather and grandmother (Mary Frances Marical) were married in Cedar County on October 18, 1903, and both of them are buried in El Dorado Springs. I have found that both her parents died in Cedar County in 1884, but cannot find any record about his parents living there or their names. I have heard that my grandfather's father's name may have been William Henry also. Any help would be appreciated.
Does anybody have knowledge of the history or reason for the naming of the cemetery? Can't find a Lindley buried in it, but my GG grandfather Lindley lived and died in Bear Creek. Thanks, Pat Darby Sanchez

I did not realize how early that people came to IL. But, it would be unlikely that they would end up in New York if they were in IL. I would think> Juanita

Does anyone know if there would be any High School Yearbooks around from 1918 or 1919 on the Stockton High School in Cedar County? Some schools in the state had them in the early 1900's.

Surely someone out there remembers some of them. - - I am looking for information: Robert Franklin Driskell was my grandfather, he was born October 21, 1870 at Flat Creek, Pettis Co., Missouri to Abner Nash Driskell and Sarah Elizabeth Kirkpatrick. On December 20, 1894 he married Eliza Anne Green, they had 6 children. About 1910 or so Robert left Eliza and the children. But he is buried at Tennesses Chapel (he died March 17, 1938) - the same place where Eliza is also buried with her second husband Thomas Page. I am looking for ANY information that will help me find WHERE he might have been between 1910 and 1938. Thank you, Leda

I just finished adding the Cedar County Register of Births to the web site. I'm sure I made mistakes, and some I couldn't read, so if you find a provable error let me know. <g> You will find the birth pages linked from: http://www.rootsweb.com/~mocedar/index.htm At the bottom of each page is a link to the Missouri State Archives, they are trying to get all Missouri birth & death records online. So be sure to go to their site to check for online records for other counties. You might even want to volunteer to transcribe some. I have one page of miscarriages and stillbirth to add, maybe tomorrow......... Enjoy, Kay
