Urgently seeking info on Confederate Civil War soldier, Thomas F. Harney. He stated he was born in Blair County, Pennsylvania, possible in 1837. By 1861, he was living in Harrisonville, Cass County. He said he was a schoolteacher. It is possible that the family name was Harvey. Harney was originally with the Missouri State Guard, 3rd Infantry, 8th division, 6th Missouri Infantry and finally, the Torpedo Bureau. No trace of him has been found in Blair County, Pennsylvania. He seems to exist only in his service records as no trace of him can be found after 1865. I would be eternally grateful to anyone who might have any info. Jane Singer
