And with that Resolution/Chapter 11, after they migrated across the state border into Miami, Linn & Johnson counties in Kansas, some later moved on west to other counties. Some of ours stayed in Miami & Linn cos for a while, then went to Atchison & Leavenworth cos; others stayed in Miami & Linn, but none went back to their farms in the MO counties from where they were forced to leave. The 1867 Miami Co reconstructed census (taken from tax records) shows John, Robert & Thomas Jackson (all living in different twps), among the 12 Jacksons listed. Robert is with a Margaret.
