    1. [MOCASS] ROLL CALL: DAVIS, STOUT, DOWNS
    2. My husband is a descendent of Daniel East Davis ((1832 Cooper Co., MO-1807 Higginsville, MO) married to Martha A. Moore (1823? IL-1910 or 1811 Cedar Co., MO). Two of the Davis children had connections to Cass Co. Thomas Davis seemed to have lived there and his children were Lee, Sarah Victoria, Eva, John, Rhoda,Ora, Billy, and Ollie. There may be another child. I have Sarah Victoria's children who seemed to have stayed around Harrisonville or Jackson County, but need more about: Lottie, Bule, Otto, Russell Clarence, Rosa Mae, Richard E., and Opal Davis. Thomas's sister Mary Jane Davis married Stephen W. Stout in 1874 and their children were Emma Lee (1875- ?) m. John Downs in Harrisonville, Cass Co., in 1891; and Liza Stout, b. ca 1877, of whom I know nothing more. A relative thought they also had a daughter, Alice, who was a barber. Would appreciate hearing from anyone with knowledge of these people, our "lost" cousins. Supposedly, there is a cousinship with Carrie Amelia Moore Gloyd Nation of Cass county, and I can't figure that out until I find out more about these relatives. Does anyone know the names of Carrie's brothers and sisters? I know only of Campbell and Edna Moore. Thanks, Margie Bridges in Calif.

    3. Hi Margie, For info on Carry .....Nation, I would suggest writing to the Belton Museum, 512 Main Street, Belton MO 64012. They are supposed to have a good display of her history. I always heard she is buried in Belton Cemetery. Also, I know there is at least one biography published about her.
