William Budd married Mary Ann Kendall in Cass Co., Mo on 15 May 1866. I have uncovered nothing to indicate that either family lived in Cass County other that this marriage record. William and Mary Ann are later found in Bates, Barton, and Johnson Counties. Census records indicate that William was born in NJ, NY, PA or MO. Mary Ann appears to have been born in KY, IN or MO. Children's birth locations are NJ, PA, MO and IN.--They must have traveled a lot!! Son John married Bessie Michaels shortly after the 1900 census was taken. John and Bessie were living in Scammon, KS in 1913 for birth of daughter Velma Ina Budd. John was a miner who developed health problems and later moved (by 1915) to Phoenix, Arizona where he died in 1916. Bessie married twice more before she died in 1938.
