    3. Hello Everyone, My name is Alinda Miller and I'm with the Friends of Historic Lone Jack. I am working on a research project trying to identify the soldiers that fought at the Battle of Lone Jack on August 16, 1862. We have over 270 unidentified soldiers buried on the battlefield and it is our dearest wish to name all of these soldiers and to place a memorial with each name on it. If you have any information on any of the soldiers that fought at Lone Jack on August 16, 1862, I would be very grateful if you would contact me. I will gladly pay for any copy and/or postage costs. Below are listed the units, both Federal and Confederate, that we know were there, however, there may be others. Thank you in advance for any and all help! Alinda M.
