Historical Society, "Original Land Grant Entries Cass (Van Buren) County, Missouri, 1833-1866."). According to "Deed Index Records of Cass Co., Mo., March 15, 1837, Thru July 10, 1857," also published by the Cass Co. Historical Society, a James H. (or I.) TUCKER sold land to John T. FRANKLIN on 7 March 1838 (Deed Book A, page 18, filed 15 March 1838). The land was located in Township 46, Range 29 -- but the Section is shown as 36. Good luck with your research. Mary C.
