    3. Hi! I am trying to find Richard Owsley who was adopted by James Cardwell Burford and Susan Burford nee Hubbard. They raised several children of relatives. Would anyone know if Richard Owsley is related to the Burfords or the Hubbards? He was born about 1870 in Illinois. His father was born in Kentucky and his mother in Illinois according to the 1880 census. He is the only one that I can't find anything on. Any help will be appreciated! 1. [MOCASS] Roll Call --Campbell-Morrison
    2. craig
    3. Hello Cass Listers.... I have my Campbell family that was in Cass County, and thr surrounding counties of Bates and Henry Counties, from the 1870's - 1940's. Simon Campbell first came to Cass County in the 1870's running a boarding house and livery stable. It is possible he opened a motel in or near Raymore in the 1880's-1890's. Simon's father, John Campbell and his family arrived in Cass County in 1883 or so and settled about 2 miles south of Raymore. John and his wife Deborah died in 1899, and are buried in the Raymore Cemetery. My great grandfather Henry Duncan Campbell married Nettie Morrison in 1884 in Raymore, and left Cass County by 1890 to Henry and Bates counties. Nettie's parents were John Morrison and Rachel (Wood) Morrison. Looking to connect with anyone with links to the Campbell - Morrison families of Cass County. Other related names to the Campbell family: Carle, Hodkins, Cook, Clifton, Baird, Huctable, Sharp, Lightcap, Benton, Leonard Other related names to the Morrison family: McCool, Eikenberry. Thank You and I like this idea of a roll call .... Craig Campbell

    3. Hi Sheila If you can figure out the Charles Potts clan, you are a better woman than me. He had 4 wives and who knows how many children and step children. in the 1880 Census there were 5 Williams Children, 3 Potts Children, and 3 more Potts that were Charles and Nancy's children listed. There was also an Alphones Nichols who is listed as a step child of Charles but I have no idea who his mother was. If Charles Henry Potts was in Seattle, he was probably with the Williams boys who moved to Seattle in 1889. I will look him up in the Seattle Directories and see what I can find. I have an elderly relative in her 90's that remembers some of these folks. She may be able to tell me something. If you know who Alphones Nickols is, please let me know. According to a relative he died in Los Angeles in a car crash in 1952. 3. Hi Franks mother was Nancy Christine Lamon Williams Potts. She is shown on the Bates County 1880 census with her husband Charles Potts and 10 children. Some were his, some were hers and some were theirs. She died 12/24/1880 and all the children were raised by friends and relatives. All I know is Frank age 7 was taken in by an older couple with the last name McRoberts. He stayed with them until 1889. At age 16 he migrated with several of his older brothers to Seattle and the Yukon. My goal is to verify who the family was that raised Frank. Thanks for your help. 1. RE: [MOCASS] Roll Call Johnson, Robbins, Pennington, Prindable
    2. Cheri Casper
    3. Hello - I a researching Saulsbury Pennington (1828 - 1875, buried in Freeman) and his wife, Eliza A. Pennington (b. 1828 - d. ?); their daughter Mary Elizabeth (1848 - d?, may be buried in West Union Cemetery or the tombstone there may just be a memorial) Pennington who married (1) (? possibly Eli) Prindable (absolutely nothing known), (2) Christopher Robbins (1839 - 1870, buried in West Union Cemetery), and (3) James William Johnson (b. 1857 - d. ?). Am particularly interested in: * Johnson family -- Who are the parents & siblings of James W. Johnson? James W. Johnson and Mary Elizabeth had AnnaBell (b. 1885 - d. 1966), Hazel May (b. 1889 - d. ? but probably young), George, Oliver, & Myrtle. Does anyone have any info to fill in the gaps on these children? When did James & Mary Elizabeth die and where are they buried for certain? (Mary Elizabeth's name is inscribed on the tombstone of her 2nd husband Christopher Robbins--which is in West Union Cemetery--along with their son Sherman. However, she was married to Johnson for a much longer period of time and suspect that this was inscribed when Christopher died in anticipation that she would be buried there when she died. I suspect she is really buried next to her 3rd husband, James.) * AnnaBell Johnson (1885 - 1966 in Clinton, MO) -- Born & raised in Cass Co. Married Thomas Dimic Casper in (according to family) July 1901, however, I have never been able to find a marriage for them. If someone is perusing the newspaper microfilms around that date would they please keep an eye out for a marriage notice? It may be that they married elsewhere but the marriage was announced in the Harrisonville newspaper. I have looked in 13 counties for this marriage (including the bordering Kansas Counties, and the counties where the groom was born & raised and the counties surrounding it) and am unable to locate any marriage record. Their first child was born in 1903 so I would be more likely to believe that the marriage took place either in 1902 or 1903 rather than the 1901 that family members indicate. * Pennington Family -- Does anyone know when Eliza Pennington died and where she might be buried? Perhaps there was a second marriage for her? Thanks. Cheri Casper IBSSG =^..^=

    1. [MOCASS] Potts and more Potts, Hiser, Owsley
    2. Joanne, I have Charles Potts married to Mary Ann Elizabeth Hiser/Hizer on May 3, 1854 in Cass Co., MO. Hiser is my primary line. Have never been able to locate information on these two. However, I have another Charles Henry Potts, born Sep 18, 1868, who married Ida Francis "Fanny" Hiser ca 1891 in Seattle, King Co., Washington. His parents were Charles Potts and Mary Owsley. I have always wondered if the second Charles was a son of the first but could never find information to prove or disprove it. Do you have information that might shed some light on this for me?
