    3. Hi Joane, Sorry I've been so long in getting back to you, it's just been a hectic week. I was able to spend a little time at the library tonight. I don't have any answers for you yet, but a couple of possible leads. Do you know if the children included a Charles and Henry that would have been minors when Nancy died? From an index, I know there's estate records involving these two children. They are located in the Historical Society and I will check there next if they are in deed related. There's also a Carroll McRoberts estate record that I will check. Thought maybe if she's the McRoberts who raised him there would be some mention of him if she left a will. Have not been able to locate any other McRoberts records that would appear pertinent given the time frame and the McRoberts being elderly. Will let you know if I find anything additional. 2. Yes this is the same Groh family......my husband's grandfather was John Groh, and believe his brother William "Will" was the grandfather of the ones you are writing about. One of that side of the family Joyce Rice is writing a book about the Groh's. Her email address is: Joy-2u@juno.com I have written her about your inquiry. John & William were sons of George Hendrich "Henry" Groh if I have it right. Lots of Groh's........most in Cass County have always called it GRAW but ones in Clay County and north of here call it GROH with long O. Good hearing from you. Pat G

    3. William Budd married Mary Ann Kendall in Cass Co., Mo on 15 May 1866. I have uncovered nothing to indicate that either family lived in Cass County other that this marriage record. William and Mary Ann are later found in Bates, Barton, and Johnson Counties. Census records indicate that William was born in NJ, NY, PA or MO. Mary Ann appears to have been born in KY, IN or MO. Children's birth locations are NJ, PA, MO and IN.--They must have traveled a lot!! Son John married Bessie Michaels shortly after the 1900 census was taken. John and Bessie were living in Scammon, KS in 1913 for birth of daughter Velma Ina Budd. John was a miner who developed health problems and later moved (by 1915) to Phoenix, Arizona where he died in 1916. Bessie married twice more before she died in 1938. Does anyone have any record of this family? --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com). 1. [MOCASS] Roll Call - Randolph, Briton
    2. Hi My ggrandparents, Joseph and Josephine (Briton) Randolph and family were in Cass County, MO on the 1880 census in Coldwater township. Children listed with them were daughter, Grace, and sons, Clarence and Robert Roy. My grandfather, Ernest, was born to them in Freeman, Cass County, MO on 19 Apr 1889. I think they lived there a couple of years after that before they moved to Indian Territory (OK). I think possibly Joseph's brother, Robert (Bob) Randolph, was in Cass Co. too. Josephine's younger brother, Robert Briton, was listed in the household with Joseph and Josephine Randolph on the 1880 census. Since Joseph & Josephine were both born in KY and married in Morgan County, IN I was wondering about if there were others that moved to Cass County at the same time (1879 or 1880) and what the attraction was that drew them to that area. Sally
