    1. Re: [MOCASS] Willis WILSON b. 1872 Harrisonville, Cass, MO
    2. Hello, Jayne, Interesting to pick up that Texas connection! My husband and I drove back through this area of OK last winter after a Christmas visit with family in Kansas. The country around Apache (Caddo County) reminds me of the Cass County, MO, Miami County, KS area where I grew up. My great grandparents moved to Apache sometime around 1905 and stayed until their deaths in the 1920s, and all of their children stayed around there too except my grandfather who came back to Miami County to marry his sweetheart, my grandmother. They raised their family of 7 on a Miami County farm. We are connected to GILLOGLY, CANFIELD, HUBER and many other families who are or were in Caddo County. I don't know of any family connection to your Wilsons, but I imagine our families were acquainted, having made a similar move at more or less the same time. Wishing you the best of luck in your research and may all your brick walls be little ones, Barbara Eggleston Denton Austin, TX

Actually, Mr. WILSON detoured first to Fannin Co., Texas (on the border with southern OK) where he met (?) and married Eula STEWART in 1893 in Edhube, Fannin Co., Texas. Their first 4 daughters were born in Fannin Co. Texas. Then they had a son, who died as an infant 9 months old. A year after his death, they were in OK, because the younger 3 daughters were born in OK. I got the birthdates from some family paperwork, and the birthplaces from the 1910 Caddo Co. census. I too wish I knew more about their wanderings. Jayne in Texas

    1. Re: [MOCASS] Willis WILSON b. 1872 Harrisonville, Cass, MO
    2. Hello, I have no direct connection to this family but I am interested in the fact that they went from Cass County MO to Caddo County OK at about the same time as my GILLOGLY ancestors and CANFIELD cousins. I think several families made this move from the New Lancaster, Miami County, KS area (just a few miles west of Drexel, Mo). Were you looking at the 1910 federal census for Caddo County or something else? I'm interested in hearing from other families who also made this move. Best regards, Barbara Eggleston Denton (Maternal grandfather was a GILLOGLY) In a message dated 4/27/2003 2:29:48 AM Central Standard Time, Punkineader@aol.com writes: > Finally found Willis WILSON and wife Eula (STEWART) in the 1910 Oklahoma > Caddo County Banner township census as follows. 2. The obit listing was replaced with the County Cemetery Index when the project was completed. The obit database was turned over to the Cass County Historical Society and should be posted on their website when they get them all filed. I am not sure what that URL is going to be but it will be hosted by Rootsweb.

    2. Kathleen Burnett
    3. Dear List Members, It is time again for one of my information messages. First of all I want to thank each of you who go out of your way to follow the list rules. I belong to many lists in my research and truly feel you are the best list members out there. If you are enjoying this list and would like to know what other genealogical lists Rootsweb has for you, go to John Fuller's site located at http://www.rootsweb.com/~jfuller/gen_mail.html It is the best source for Genealogical mailing lists that I know of. If you would like to visit the archived messages for this list or any Rootsweb List you may go to http://archiver.rootsweb.com and type in the name of the list and from there you can search by date. There is a great Rootsweb site, Password Central, you can go to if you want to find out what Rootsweb lists you are a member of or need to unsubscribe from a list, just follow the instructions. http://passwordcentral.rootsweb.com/ To unsubscribe from any Rootsweb list send only the word UNSUBSCRIBE to XXXX-L-REQUEST@ROOTSWEB.COM Naturally exchange the XXXX with the name of the list and the L with a D if you are on the Digest List. I have very few rules on the lists I take care of; the main one is to treat your fellow members as you would like to be treated, also Roll Calls will be called by me, with a beginning date and an ending date. The posting of virus warnings, chain letters, political announcements, current events and test messages are NOT ALLOWED and will be grounds for removal. Consideration for exceptions, contact me, KathleenBurnett@earthlink.net Please remember that I am here, working behind the scenes. When an offending message is posted, just DELETE it. Know that I am most likely taking care of the problem personally with the person who posted the message. When you send your unhappiness to the list you just continue on the problem both for the members and for myself. If you are concerned that I have missed the message, you can send me a message at KathleenBurnett@earthlink.net. Would you like to see the growth in the United States between 1650 and 1983? This is a great visual. I have shared it before but I am sure we have many new members since then. http://www.ac.wwu.edu/~stephan/Animation/us.gif This is your list. I am only here to take care of it for you and to make sure it runs smoothly. If you have any ideas or suggestions, please feel free to send them to me.
