I located a 1900 census for Peculiar Cass county Missouri that has Charley Davis head of household Mary E Davis Wife Henry Goodwin stepson age 30 born 1870 in Missouri Henry is again in the 1910 census as the owner of the farm Henry is still in Peculiar in the 1920 census I am wondering if there is some info that shows who Henry Goodwins real dad was??also is Mary E Davis his real mom?? I am on the trail of my g g uncle Harrison Goodwin, son of Rev Henry B Goodwin from Louisa Ky. I found a Harrison Goodwin with wife Sarah and two sons, Henry born in Mo abt 1867/1868 and Stephan born in Mo.9/1869. I lost the whole family after the 1870 Woodson county Ks census and then found this Henry Goodwin same age in Missouri. I wonder if he is the same guy and moved back to Missouri after the death of his mom or dad?? any help most appreciated Mary Smith Denver Co
Hi Jo, Thank you so very much for the information. This is great. I would love to have a copy of the obituary of Charles G. Trog. I would be happy to reimburse you for the cost. I think you are right about Zoe being married before. I haeard from a distant cousin, that he did not think she had any children. I have a biographical sketch on Zoe's parents if you are interested. The court house in Harrisonville has marriage data for Cass county going back at least until 1870. I saw the record for my g-grandparents on a list on microfilm in the county clerk's office there. For what it is worth.........I found my ggrandparents marriage through the Catholic church records in Pleasant Hill, Cass County, MO. My ggrandmother was Rose Lynch, strong Catholic family from Ireland she married Charles G. Briscoe in 1880.......through those records I also received the baptismal info for my grandmother and great uncle........Now if I could only find out what happened to Rose LYNCH Briscoe after the birth of their son in 1885......she just disappears.
