F. Kinder died at his home here at 8:24 p.m., November 28, 1902 of Bright's disease, aged 72 years, 6 months and four days. He was one of our oldest and most highly respected citizens, and was for many years an active figure in political and business circles. He started into business as a merchant in 1859, and with the exception of a few years, during and immediately after the war, has been in business here and at Lutesville continuously since that time. He was elected Assessor of Cape county in 1856 and served two years. In 1865 he was elected Treasurer of Bollinger county and was re-elected in 1876, 1878, 1884 and 1886 anf faithfully discharged his duties. He leaves a wife, five sons, Linus S. and Thurman of Plainview, Texas, Mason, Edward and Lyman T., and two daughters, Mrs. Arabella Finney and Mrs. Dr. G. S. Cannon of Graysboro.
