Bowman (nee Snider) was born March 23, 1857 in Marble Hill, Mo., and died in the faith June 28, 1895, at Cape Girardeau, Mo. Sister Bowman professed religion and joined the church in 1874; was married to Bro. M. W. Bowman Nov. 25, 1875, and became the mother of ten children, eight of whom survive her. Death came to her very suddenly. Rising from her bed very early in the morning to assume the duties of the day, God called her and she spent the day in paradise. The funeral sermon was preached by Rev. L. L. Pinnell at Glen Allen to a large congregation of relatives and friends who loved and respected her. ~ Marvin T. Haw.
