Estes, wife of Mr. Hezekiah Estes of Marble Hill, we publish the following account from her daughters: The late Mrs. Estes was born April 3,1823, in Cape Girardeau county, of German parentage, was married to Hezekiah Estes October 20, 1842 and lived within five miles of her birthplace about forty-five years, from there they moved to Marble Hill where they have resided for the past eight years. The deceased has been a devoted member of the M. E. Church for a number of years, a kind and dutiful wife and mother. Besides her husband she leaves two sons and three daughters to mourn her loss. Pinkney and Ransom Estes, Mrs. Louisa Chostner and Mrs. Amanda Slinkard all of this state and Mrs. Frank W. Morrison of Denver, Colorado.
