You mentioned that Ola married an Oscer Hartzell. I had an uncle (my father, Bruce's brother who's name was Oscar. He was born and raised in Washington Co. My Oscar was born 1901 and died 1976. Bruce and Oscar's father was Samuel Hartzell born 1867. Samuel's father was Silas Hartzell born 1820 in Ste. Genevieve Co. Silas's parents were Nicholas and Mary Goza Hartzell. Nicholas was born 1791 in Somerset Co., Pa. He moved to Ste. Genevieve and set up a tanyard. His parents were Nicholas and Dorcas Settle. They descended from Jacob Hirzel. Do you recognize any of these Hartzell's?
