    3. The Direct index is alphabetized by the seller's names (more properly, the grantors, since a lot of other transactions other than land deeds are sometimes recorded in the deed books). The Indirect index is alphabetized by the buyers (grantees) names. If these are for Cape Girardeau Co. before 1850, just ask me.
