He had been in ill health for more than two years. He was born August 17, 1912, near Sedgewickville and on October 3, 1931 he married Miss Audrey Ayers at Sedgewickville. Mr. Statler farmed and was a carpenter for many years. In April they moved from Old Appleton to Daisy. Surviving are his wife; two sons, Ishmael C. Statler of Whitman Air Force Base, Mo., and George E. Statler of Memphis, Tenn.; six daughters, Mrs. Edgar Rutherford of Godfrey, IL., Mrs. James Schaa of Bryans Road, Md., Mrs. Jerry Henson of Junction City, Kan., Mrs. Bob Hohenwarter of Quarryville, Pa., Mrs. Harry Carter of Holtwood, Pa., and Miss Karen Statler of Independence; one brother, Woodrow Statler of Jackson; three sisters, Mrs. Earl Crites of Gordonville, Mrs. Nola Nitsch of Cape Girardeau and Mrs. Charlie Johnson of Millersville; 18 grandchildren and one great-grandson. Three sisters preceded him in death. Services were held ! Sunday at McCombs Funeral Home and burial was in Russell Heights Cemetery at Jackson.
