Some of his kids were born there. There is another large Dowty family from Ohio, (another Reuben) that moved to Missouri also. Most of Reuben Austin Dowty's kids moved to Louisiana. I don't have much on James, more on Polly because she married a Masterson, and Nancy Dowty married a Masterson, other Dowty women married into the Randol family. Mastersons and Randols are my main lines. Let me know if you run across anything new. Mallory
