Sharlene, I have a Civil War ancestor, James Levi KENNEDY aka Levi KENNEDY, who was buried in Calvary Cemetery, in 1892. He was born in Hancock Co IN and I traced him via his CW file to St. Joseph, Buchanan Co., MO. Is it likely that James would have been Catholic to have been buried in a Catholic Cemetery. Also, is Mt. Olivet a Catholic Cemetery. I am trying to find more info on James' father, Thomas KENNEDY, who is my gg-grandfather and knowing the religious background may be a clue as to where I may further search for records. Thank you for any info you may provide Virgene in northwest Indiana In a message dated 4/13/2004 8:22:33 PM US Eastern Standard Time, [email protected] writes: Hi -- Calvary Cemetery was the old Catholic Cemetery. All of the known graves at Calvary Cemetery were moved to Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Sharlene Miller
