His father (my gr. grandfather) was Joseph Marnell,born in Lisburn, served in the Boar War, and his mother was a Christina Mulholland who came from Aghalee. John had two brothers, Thomas and Edward. I was told that my father had an uncle John who came here years before he did. Do you know from what area your John was from? My Gr. Grandfather Joseph had a few brothers. If any of the above names sound familiar, please let me know.
