My gg-grandfather, Eli Watson, was involved in land transactions between 1845 & 1860 but I can't seem to find any records like grantor-grantee index and sale documents. I checked with Mid-Continent Pub Library in Independence, but they said their records don't go back that far. Thanks, Phil

The Buchanan County, Missouri records are available through the Family History Library. If you will find one near you and order the correct films you can look for the records you need. It is best to use the www.familysearch.org site to look for the films you need and then you can order them at the nearest FHC. The site I mentioned also has the FHC locations listed too.
