I have a question about the hospitals in the St. Joseph area in the 1930's. I had a great Aunt who was in a "mental hospital" between 1930-1936. She died at this hospital froma mental illiness. She is not listed in the Missouri Death Index. She died while a patient in the hospital. Her name is Rosa Mae(May) Totten and her death date is October 5, 1936. We are trying to locate her death certificate as there is several rumors as to how she died and we would like to set the record straight. Any helpful suggestion would be welcome. Can you tell me what kind of work she was involved in and maybe I can do a recall.
