Their parents were Jacob Thomas (b ca 1805,VA) and Mary Callahan (b 1806, Jefferson County, TN). Mary Callahan Thomas brought the family to Buchanan County, MO in late 1850 after Jacob died 1847 in Jefferson County, TN.
