His father was George E. shoup (Son of another John Gilbert Shoup and His wife may have been Sadie Jacobs). His mother was Cora mae/may Guthrie (Sp?) Their family lived around St. Joseph, Mo. until about the late 40's(?) when they moved to california. They were in the organ and piano tuning business. My grandfathers parents may have came from missouri too or possibly indiana, iowa, and pennsylvania. I recently discovered that George had two brothers Norman And Fay.
