    3. Does anyone on this list know anything about burials in Agency, Mo.? According to the Feb. 1, 1919, issue of "The Winchester Star," my great grandfather Bailey Mack VanMeter went to Agency to bury his mother on Thursday, Jan. 30, of that year. Her name was Mary Jane (McCandless)VanMeter. On Memorial Day, I visited Agency and tried finding her grave. I found the graves of the daughter and son-in-law with whom she was living in St. Joseph in 1910. They are John L. and Frances C. Berry. However, I did not find a grave for Mary Jane VanMeter. Of course, some of the older headstones are unreadable, and it looks like some are missing in places. Is there a listing anywhere of who was buried in that cemetery? Also, I noticed -- according to the sign at the entrance -- the cemetery was founded in 1925. But some of the tombstones look older than that. Are there pre-1925 burials there? Or is there another cemetery in Agency where the older burials are? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I'm having trouble tracing the VanMeter & McCandless family lines. Sincerely, JoLynne Walz Martinez Jmartinez5@kc.rr.com
