    3. Yes, I knew Virginia Martin. She worked for me in the business office. Her death record would be at Northwest Missouri Psychiatric Rehabilitation Center, 3505 Frederick Ave. St. Joseph, MO. 64506 816-387-2329. You have to have a court order to get any info released but when you call them they will tell you where to write for the order. I have called Mt. Olivet Cemetery and they do not have a record of her burial there. I now waiting for the funeral home Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden to see if she was buried from there. Margaret Heaton-Bowman just called me and she was not buried from there. You might contact the other funeral homes and they would surely know who was the responsible party. Virginia had a boyfriend but I do not remember his name. M

    3. I have a question about the hospitals in the St. Joseph area in the 1930's. I had a great Aunt who was in a "mental hospital" between 1930-1936. She died at this hospital froma mental illiness. She is not listed in the Missouri Death Index. She died while a patient in the hospital. Her name is Rosa Mae(May) Totten and her death date is October 5, 1936. We are trying to locate her death certificate as there is several rumors as to how she died and we would like to set the record straight. Any helpful suggestion would be welcome. 3. I am interested in locating information regarding the Augustus MOUIRGUIES family living in St. Joseph, Buchanan Co., MO. Augustus MOUIRGUIES b. 1 April 1811, Romans, Drome, France. Death 13 March 1892, St. Joseph, Buchanan Co., MO; buried Wathena, KS. Married 1846, New Orleans, LA Wife: Mary TOLARDI b. abt. 1810, either New Orleans, LA or France. One child know of: Augustus Edward Mouirguies, b. 3 April 1856, St. Joseph, MO. Possible daughter: Emma, b. aft 1850. I have searched Ancestory. Com, MO GenWeb, and many other sources for information relating to this family, including name variations. My primary interest is locating siblings of Augustus Edward Mouirguies and in particular, Emma. Also, I would like to verify previous information regarding Augustus Edward Mouirguies parents and parentage. My thought is, information is available but due to their name pronunciation a derivative not thought of is where this information lies. :-) Any assistance would be appreciated. 1. [MOBUCHAN] Coroner's Records for late 1800's?
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.missouri.counties.buchanan/4312/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Are there coroner's records available in Buchanan County for the late 1800's? I am specifically looking for information on the death of my ggg-gfather who died, according to family stories, of 'self inflicted wounds' in 1895 in St. Joseph. I would think that something like that would warrant an investigation by the coroner if it was true. Is there anywhere else I could look for information if these kinds of records are not available? Thank you for any advice someone may be able to give me.

    3. I cannot help with the records, but the St. Joseph coroner at the time was probably Dr. James Weir Heddens, if that might help you in your search. Good luck.
