Surnames: Judy Judah Tschudi Tschudy Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/zJB.2ACE/1946.1.1 Message Board Post: Thanks for your reply Gary. The question I had was a bit more general in nature. I was trying to find the origin of the Judys in Buchanan County (specifically were they from either Clark or Montgomery counties, Kentucky?). According to the History of Buchanan County (a Ramfree Press Reprint) there was a John T. Judy living there who had migrated from Kentucky about 1853. Also, there is a Judy cemetery located in Crawford Township, which I believe is located in the southern part of the county. It appears that Mary, wife of John T. and three children are buried here. A descendant of William Reed Griffith claims he married an Elizabeth Judy (or Judah) in Buchannan County in 1860. I myself am related to the Judahs who lived there during that time and I was just trying to discover the origin of the Judys as we are all related. Thanks again.

If before 1928, there was no record in Buchanan Co., MO. There was an Elizabeth Judy who married a Wm. Griffey(looks like Groffey) in Aug. 1859. Gary Conwell
